Changes of my Life

I suppose the biggest change is my expanding waistline. It doesn't seem entirely real to me - a baby. Yet on the other hand it feels perfectly natural. Like it was the next beautiful gift God handed to us from His overflowing Christmas Tree full.

There is more talk of moving to France in the next couple years. Surprisingly, I find myself both agreeable and eager over it. It too feels like the next right step. Of course I'll flip out occasionally I'm sure - and I very much expect everyone I love to come and visit. But overall, it's a healthy change I'm anticipating.

The weather is another change. It went from the 70's last week to piles of U.P.-like snow this week. The big difference is that in the U.P. the plowing system is an organized efficient operation, and here it is a mess that leaves a mess behind.

Christmas is another change. It'll be my first Christmas ever that I'm the hostess. But I'm thrilled and our house is decked in rich reds and golds, complete with our fresh tree and stockings on the fireplace. I have a whole list of meals and holiday entertainment for my dear in-laws.

Well, I'm off to the doctor to get my monthly check-in. In a few more weeks we'll know the gender!   God bless!
